New Car Servicing/In Warranty Servicing
Save time and money, service your new car locally with us and keep your warranty!
Despite what some dealerships tell you, you do not have to service your new car at a dealership to keep your warranty.
Most service books will recommend using their own dealer network to service your new car but it is not a set requirement, they will go on to say that as long as your mechanic is a licensed repairer, uses genuine parts and follows the manufacturers service schedule, your warranty is not affected. So if you have a new vehicle and don’t want to waste a day or more taking it to the dealer, we can service it for you and keep your warranty. Feel free to talk to us about your specific vehicle requirements.
If you have fixed price or free servicing with your new vehicle it will need to go the dealer to get it at that price. Also, we can not carry out any warranty repairs on your vehicle on behalf of the dealer or manufacturer as they will not pay us to to them, only the dealer will be able do any applicable warranty repairs at no charge.
Some different conditions can apply to extended warranties, sometimes you will have to service it with the dealer to keep the extended warranty, we can check your service book to be sure.
Mechanical Insurance Servicing (Autosure, Jannsens, Protecta, Quest, etc)
If you have mechanical insurance from Autosure etc, we are approved for all servicing and repairs and have a service schedule designed specifically to cover their requirements.
Autosure specifies petrol powered vehicles are serviced every 15,000km or 12 months, whichever occurs first.
Diesel powered vehicles are serviced every 10,000km or 12 months, whichever occurs first.
AUTOSURE SERVICING REQUIREMENTS
THE FOLLOWING MUST BE CHECKED AND ATTENDED TO AS REQUIRED:
• Change engine oil and oil filter;
• All fluid levels and condition;
• Air filter;
• All belts. Replace if necessary. Please note cam belts must be replaced as specified
by the vehicle manufacturer;
• Cooling system including inhibitor and hoses;
• Turbo oil feed;
• Automatic transmission;
• Braking system including brake fluid condition;
• Air conditioning;
• Steering and suspension systems.
• The cost of servicing is at your expense.

For all other servicing, we use high quality oils, fluids and filters and a thorough inspection process to keep your vehicle safe, reliable and efficient.
We have four options to choose from:

Replace engine oil and oil filter.
A basic service involves adding engine flush, replacing the engine oil and oil filter, testing the battery, checking/topping up the under bonnet fluid levels and checking the lights and tyre pressures. We then finish it off with a free car wash.
This is recommended for low usage vehicles (under 5000km/year) that have reached the time limit but not the kms for a service. If your doing low kms, the time limit for most manufacturers oil change/service is 12 months. This is due to infrequent or short runs creating condensation, carbon build up and fuel contamination which degrades the engine oil. This leads to increased internal engine wear and potential engine issues or failure. If your vehicle get very little use, this is a good option to combine with the annual WOF.
This is the recommend service for normal usage vehicles to get done at each service. Depending on the vehicle, we will recommend a schedule of 2-4 standard services then a full service.
All Standard services include a free car wash, scan and electronic health report.
A full service is our comprehensive service and includes the important things that should be checked less frequently such as spark plugs, throttle body and intake manifold, cabin and fuel filters. It also goes above the standard service in checking all under vehicle fluids such and gear box/transmission and diff oils and removing all wheels and drums (if equipped) for a full brake inspection, clean and adjustment.
Depending on the vehicle, we will recommend this service every third to fifth service, this ensures everything on a modern vehicle that needs to be checked, replaced, adjusted or serviced is, and it keeps the cost down to a minimum to keep the vehicle safe, reliable and efficient.
